This summer has already been jam-packed. It’s really been all systems go at Simon on the Streets.
What better time to get you up to speed on all the goings-on?
Simon’s Summer Street Party
Nothing says ‘summer’ quite like a street party. On Thursday, 6th August, we’ll be taking over White Cloth Hall in Leeds for a celebration of you, our community, who make what we do possible.
With some Ibiza classics from Randyman Productions and delicious food courtesy of the White Cloth Hall team, this is a party with a purpose.
So gather your friends, gather your colleagues, and join us for an evening of sunshine, music, and delicious food, and raise a glass to the power of community.
The Little Sleep In
After Covid forced us to miss a year of our flagship fundraiser, Simon’s Big Sleep Out, we created ‘The Little Sleep In’. We encouraged those who took part to sleep anywhere other than their bed for one night to raise awareness and funds for Simon on the Streets.
People got seriously creative – sleeping in mega pillow forts or setting up camp in their own back gardens. It was also great to see so many kids and families get involved! And that’s a big part of why we’re bringing it back, to add a family event to our fundraising calendar.
Throughout August, you and your keen-kid fundraisers can sleep in, so no one has to sleep out. This is the perfect, family-friendly way to introduce your children (and anyone else, for that matter) to fundraising and working with a charity. Why not spread the word across those class WhatsApp groups and really make a difference?
It’s simple. Download your fundraising and information pack. Pick a night for the ultimate night in, and, most importantly, have fun together! Don’t forget to tag us in your pics!
How to create your own fundraiser
We absolutely love that so many of you choose to sign up to a Simon on the Streets event, whether that’s the marathon, the Great Leeds Walk or coming to one of Simon’s socials.

But if you need some inspiration…
We have plenty of events in the calendar from now to the end of 2026 and well into 2027.

If you’re looking for other ways to help, you can:
Sign up for payroll giving
Payroll giving (you might also hear it called ‘give as you earn’) is when you choose to donate to a charity directly from your gross salary. It comes to the charity before income tax is applied, which means you can give more for less.
The best bit? Charities receive the full amount of your donation without having to claim Gift Aid.
Leave a gift in your Will
Legacy fundraising means you’ll leave a portion of your estate to your chosen charity when you die. You can leave gifts to multiple charities, and your donations can often mean ensuring the future of your favourite charities, even after you’re gone.
You can contact us about ways to give here.
Brighter futures
If you’ve been following our socials, you’ll know we’ve been focusing a lot on ‘brighter futures’ at Simon on the Streets over the last few months.
A lot of people believe tackling homelessness is about ‘solving’ practical problems – a bed for the night, a hot meal here, a hot or cold drink there. But at Simon on the Streets, we’re always thinking about the long term. About how we can help the people we work with build sustainable, brighter futures.
Our corporate partnership opportunities focus on Simon on the Streets’ long-term work. Whether you become Simon’s Outreach Champion, support Simon’s Future Fund or become a Five-for-Five partner, you’ll be directly contributing to the brighter future of Simon on the Streets and the people we work with.
