From the return of Simon’s Big Sleep Out, to being out there continuing our outreach work, 2022 was an incredibly busy year for the team here at Simon on the Streets.
In 2023, we’re just as committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness, and our events calendar got off to an incredible start in 2023. With lots more to look forward to, and a lot more work still to do, here we’re looking at some of the things we’ve been up to, and just some of the events that we’ve got planned for the year ahead.

The Simon on the Streets Corporate Showcase
On 26th January, we held our very first Simon on the Streets Corporate Showcase. Starting with drinks and a meet and greet at The Collective Inc, we then moved next door to the offices of our new corporate partners, Charlton Morris – both absolutely beautiful venues.
The event was an incredible success, raising a total of £1700 which will help us to really make a difference when helping those facing homelessness across Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended. Our corporate network is so important to us, and something that we’re incredibly grateful for. It was amazing to see so many businesses, new faces, and our existing corporate sponsors come together under one roof to raise awareness around homelessness, raise funds, and make new connections.

Simon on the Tee
Looking for the perfect team building event? Well look no further because Simon on the Tee is back! On 24th March, our corporate golf day is taking place at the very impressive Moor Allerton Golf Club.
As always, it’s set to be a fantastic day filled with delicious refreshments throughout the day, a two course evening meal and some very enjoyable evening entertainment. And of course, plenty of healthy and fun competition!
This event never disappoints. If you’re looking for something fun to do with your co-workers, or to bring your work team together, Simon on the Tee is the perfect team building event. Book your place here – all you need is a team of four and your golf clubs at the ready.
Simon’s Big Sleep Out
We’re still over the moon with the success of Simon’s Big Sleep Out last October, with the event raising over a whopping £27,000!
If you’re not familiar with our flagship fundraiser, you can read more about it here. Every autumn, we invite people to spend the night sleeping on the street to raise funds for outreach work. It’s not about replicating the conditions of homelessness, it’s about raising awareness of, and gaining an insight into, the difficulties faced by those who are.
Again, thank you so much to every single individual and business who took part, as well as our sponsors, outreach team and volunteers too. We can’t wait to do it all again, so keep your eye peeled in the coming months!
